It is interesting, but also a tad worrying, that half of high networth investors (HNWI) have never heard of venture capital trusts (VCTs), despite the beneficial tax breaks offered by these products, according to the latest research. Albion Capital, a venture capital trust provider, surveyed 250 individuals with annual incomes above £125,000 and found 50% had not heard of the products, with a further 76% never having invested in VCTs.
