2014 proved itself to be a great year for us at Intelligent Partnership. We were busy writing and publishing reports, writing articles and creating content and education materials; so busy in fact, we haven’t taken a break and jumped right into 2015! Last year saw over 342 pages of brand new alternative investment research produced, across 5 new reports and 12 articles. Our final tally brought us to 12,092 words for articles and 121,545 for reports – a grand total of 133,637 words!

The 2014 Forestry Industry Report was our first in 2014. The report examines the benefits and risks of forestry as an investment, such as providing diversification, a hedge against inflation and uncorrelated returns. As with all Intelligent Partnership’s Alternative Investment Reports (AiR), the report provides a market analysis based on our alternative investment register of 83 forestry investment products. The report aims to help build a framework of knowledge on which to advise by covering several key areas.

Our second annual Real Assets Report 2014, a whopping 56,963 words and weighing in at 876g, has brought us closer to bringing more transparency to these alternative sectors. Analysing some 763 investment products across 8 sectors, this report is the number one source to understanding real asset investment products across the globe.

The report is also now available in hard copy!

The Enterprise Investment Scheme 2014 Industry Report was another game changer for the alternative investment industry, as well as being the first industry-wide report of its kind to be published. Looking at the EIS, a UK scheme that allows for 30% income tax relief, capital gains tax relief and possible IHT relief for investing in UK small and medium sized enterprises, this report analyses over 248 EIS investment products. The EIS 2014 Industry report was able to help readers grasp this rapidly growing sector.

Complimentary hard copies are available.

Alternative finance also got lots of attention from us this year with two reports being published. The 2014 Real Estate Crowdfunding Sector Report looked at investing in property through a crowdfunding platform. Sponsored by Angels Den, the report covers the benefits and risks of the various options in the real estate crowdfunding sector.

The Peer to Business Lending Report covered one of the largest sectors in the alternative finance space. Sponsored by Assetz Captial, the report covers the investment case with a focus on small and medium sized businesses. It also compares traditional forms of savings and investment to P2B lending.

Our reports and articles are part of a wider objective to educate, train and inform financial advisers, wealth managers and industry professionals on alternative investments. In 2014, 124 professionals were able to claim 567 hours of CPD through our EIS and Real Asset reports alone. We look forward to an even greater 2015!
